The International Trade Fair for Leather, Components and Machinery for the footwear and leather goods sectors is finalizing details. The new edition is scheduled for March 11th and 12th, 2020, and will be held at IFA Alicante, where companies will be showcasing their collections for the new 2021 spring-summer season.
The Spanish Association of Footwear Component Companies (AEC – Asociación Española de Empresas de Componentes para el Calzado) is already working hard, planning and marketing the next edition. Planners foresee an increase in the number of exhibitors, based on applications, for the edition scheduled for March 2020.
Futurmoda has grown non-stop and over the past 5 years, it has done so beyond expectations, reaching over 13,150 square meters, as the maximum allows for Hall II in the Trade Fair Building of Alicante, where Futurmoda is held every year.
The past edition of Futurmoda in October 2019 had 311 exhibitors, representing 430 companies in the leather and footwear component sectors: fabrics, soles, lasts, heels, ornaments, pre-manufactures, presses, serigraphy, chemicals, containers, and machinery. Hall II of the Trade Fair Building in Alicante was full. Most exhibitors came from Spain (66%), Italy (23%), Portugal (5%), and also France, Brazil, China, Turkey, and India (6%). More than 7,000 professionals visited Futurmoda on those two days, and they came from more than 30 different countries. First-time visitors made up 20% of the total, and 80% had already visited the trade fair before.
